Here are some tips adapted from the Lions about getting new members.
Ask some one to join(club, association)!
Talk about your four wheeling activities to non members!
BE passionate and contagious about your sport, club, association.
Do not be afraid of rejection.
Prepare to answer objections( I do not have time to join, etc.
Listen to prospects ,own stories, interests, needs.
Keep a list of potential members and update frequently.
Follow up with contacts.
Be organized have applications, brochures and contact information readily available.
Look for opportunities to form new clubs.
Identify people of influence in communities who are good at making connections with others. Invite them to meetings.
Make meetings fun and interesting.
Recruit younger members.
Allow new members to assume leadership roles.
Be hospitalbe to all, avoid cliques.
Keep new members active to retain them.
