The 4WD Hardware show is end of September
Mark your calendar now for September 26 and 27, 2014, to attend the 4Wheel Drive Hardware Jamboree which is quickly becoming the premier Jeep event in Ohio, Pennsylvania and the rest of the Northeast. Everybody knows that Jeepers love nothing more than Wheelin’, Wrenchin’ and Showin’ off their Jeeps. Well, that’s exactly how they will spend their weekend when they attend the 4Wheel Drive Hardware 16th Annual Jamboree in Columbiana, OH.
Here are some highlights from the 2013, 4Wheel Drive Hardware Jamboree: The huge crowds of Jeepers with over 900 Jeeps in attendance came to the late September, 2013, event from all over the United States and Canada to enjoy the perfect fall weather. All of 4Wheeldrive Hardware’s sister companies were on hand. Displays and product from G2, Rubicon Express, Pro Comp and the newest addition to the family Trail Master suspension. New vendors like Vision X , BedRug and Hyline were also on hand to show off their cutting edge products.
The event started on a Friday with the 100 plus vehicle “Jeep Parade” through downtown Columbiana, which circled back to 4Wheel Drive Hardware. The night wound down with some music from a local band, some fantastic treats from the on-site food vendors and a final opportunity to talk shop with all the vendors.
The event really kicked in on Saturday, with the opening of the newly renovated Rubicon-style obstacle course the Mud Pit, and the Rock Crawl. More than 200 rigs challenged these areas throughout the day. The course included a long mud pit, five different rock crawl challenges and other obsticles like a frame twister, a 3 step stack and a 30 degree hill climb.
Saturday’s other big event was the “Show n’ Shine” hosted by the Hall of Fame Trailriders Club. With over 150 Jeeps entered, vehicles on display ranged from restored Willys and stock CJs, to some wild Tjs’ and more-than-trail ready JKs. Along with the Show n’ shine, 4Wheel Drive Hardware hosted a full day of Manufacturer’s clinics. These were designed to give some technical insight and first-hand knowledge of some new products on the market and some tricks on how the average Jeeper could install the parts themselves. The clinics reviewed everything from auxiliary lighting to re-gearing an axle.
Fun for the whole family, The Little Jeepers of 4Wheel Drive Hardware participated in their own “Show n’ Shine” coloring contest, face painting and a little Jeepers fishing pond along with many other activities.
